EMB Software - Launching a New Generation
EMB Software will soon have several new products on the market, adding to an already formidable line-up of actuarial software.
Already launched this year is Igloo Professional, whose users include the FSA. Igloo Professional builds on the revolutionary qualities that made Igloo a market leader in the areas of risk modeling and Dynamic Financial Analysis. Several new features have been added to provide even more power and flexibility, to aid collaborative model building and speed up the development process. It will be supported by ExtrEMB, a parameterization tool due out later this year.
Coming on stream in the summer, ResQ Professional and ResQ Enterprise promise "a giant leap forward in reserving". Professional has been designed for smaller and medium sized companies, while Enterprise is aimed at larger corporations. Both have in common a completely new integrated interface, combined with a flexible data import facility that will greatly speed up the initial stages of your work plus enormously improved data manipulation capabilities. They are due to be formally released late summer, although EMB will begin trial releases from June 2004.
The summer and autumn will also see the emergence of an EMBLEM suite, based around the hugely successful personal lines pricing software, EMBLEM Modeller. Rate Assessor has been created to support the practical implementation of pricing structures; whilst Classifier is a tool to help you group, for example, postcodes into rating areas. EMBLEM Modeller is also being improved with new functions added.
"I believe that we have moved non-life actuarial software onto an entirely new level," says Andrew Gray, who heads up the Epsom software development team. "I would like to thank all the clients who have helped us to refine and develop our new products and ensure that they work as well in practice as they do in theory."
It is likely to be a busy few months for our software teams as they help clients get to know their new products.
