EMB Open for Business in France
EMB has opened a subsidiary in Paris, France. EMB France will provide a full range of services to the insurance and reinsurance industries, including reserving, pricing, mergers & acquisitions and financial modeling.
"This is a time of rapid change in the French insurance market and we see a tremendous opportunity to help insurers adapt to a new, more demanding environment,” says founding partner Stéphane Chappellier.
Mr. Chappellier highlights increased competition and the challenges of Solvency II as two of the biggest issues facing the market. "Our message to insurers is to focus on the benefits that Solvency II can bring, rather than seeing it as just another regulatory obstacle,” he says.
Mr. Chappellier already has extensive experience of using EMB software products, which he sees as ideal for helping clients with their pricing, reserving and modeling needs.
Mr. Chappellier has twenty years insurance experience. He has worked for a large French insurer in that time, as well as an international management consultancy. His colleague, senior consultant Fabien Faivre, is also a qualified actuary with extensive experience of the non-life sector.
